These terms explain the use and limits of AI Footprint Remover, operated by HAK Consultancy Services. Please read them alongside the Privacy Policy before uploading images.
What the service does
The tool inspects and removes supported embedded metadata from JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP images. You can process multiple images, inspect before-and-after results, and download cleaned files individually or in a ZIP. The current tool is free and does not require registration.
What it cannot promise
Metadata removal is not the same as removing every sign that an image was created or edited with AI. The tool does not remove visible or invisible pixel watermarks, change image content, certify authenticity, or guarantee a change to AI labels or detection on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or any other platform. Those platforms make their own decisions and may use signals unrelated to embedded metadata.
Only supported metadata is removed. Unknown or unsupported structures may remain, and essential color or orientation information may be retained for correct display. Read the inspection report and any partial-cleaning or unsupported warnings. A result showing no supported metadata does not prove that every possible identifier is absent.
Your permission and responsibilities
Upload only images you own or have permission and a lawful basis to process. You remain responsible for the images, any personal information they contain, and how you use the output. Do not use the tool to violate rights, misrepresent authenticity, bypass service limits, submit malicious files, disrupt the website or interfere with another session. Removing metadata does not transfer copyright or remove obligations to credit a creator or disclose AI use where required.
Session allowance and safety limits
Each active session has an allowance of 100 MB, measured as 100,000,000 input bytes. Queued uploads reserve capacity; successfully processed input counts toward usage. Removing queued images releases their reservation. Deleting completed images or clearing the session does not refund consumed allowance. A new allowance becomes available after inactivity expiry. Request-rate, file-count, image-dimension and server-capacity limits also apply, and invalid or unsafe files may be rejected.
Expiry and downloads
Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Download your results before expiry and keep your own originals. Closing the browser does not itself delete server files immediately. Expired files are removed through scheduled cleanup, subject to the timing and limitations described in the Privacy Policy. The service is not permanent storage and does not offer recovery of deleted files.
Filenames and image quality
Accepted original filenames and extensions are retained for downloads. Unsafe path or control characters may be removed during filename validation. Duplicate filenames in a ZIP are placed in separate folders to prevent overwriting. Your browser or operating system may independently rename downloaded duplicates.
Supported processing is designed to preserve encoded image content instead of recompressing it. Removing metadata can change how another application interprets an image. Check the downloaded files, appearance and metadata before replacing your originals or publishing.
Ownership and availability
You retain your rights in your images. Uploading allows the service to store and process them temporarily to provide the functions you request, as described in the Privacy Policy. It does not give us ownership of them.
We aim to keep the tool available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, support for every file or a particular outcome. Maintenance, network problems, safety limits and hosting failures can interrupt processing or downloads. The tool is provided as available; nothing in these terms excludes any responsibility or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Features, limits and these terms may be updated. The latest terms will appear here with an updated date. Review them before using the service again.
